Krissy and Brayton’s home was purchased in 2024. The house was built in 1756. After an extensive renovation that took the interior of the house down to the studs, Krissy and Brayton moved into their home in August of 2025. The house was insulated throughout and modern windows were installed where permitted by OHDC.   Where single pane windows were required, interior storms were utilized. A heat pump system replaced the gas heat and water system. One outdoor heat pump unit powers the first floor and a separate multi-zone unit powers four cassettes in each of the bedrooms. The bathroom floors have radiant heat. The kitchen and laundry appliances are all Energy Star, and there is an induction range and stove. The home is wired for the option of an electric car charger. In addition to the laundry appliances, they look forward to continuing the centuries long tradition of the house by using a clothesline to air dry clothing in the warmer months.
