Gary and Lu purchased their circa 1917 granite carriage house in 2013. The carriage house was originally constructed as a 5-bay garage for the house located across the street on the top of Aldridge Lane. As an architect, Gary designed and renovated the carriage house in 2014, saving whatever historic materials remained and incorporating state of the art mechanical and energy conserving systems.
