This 2,000 square foot Acorn net-zero house was built in 1984. At the time of purchase by its current owners in 2016, the house was using propane for heating and cooking. In 2016 they installed a heat pump system with 6 mini-splits, an induction cooktop, and a heat pump water heater. In 2018, 28 solar panels were installed to provide the electricity to power the heating system and appliances. With the credit received for excess generation by their solar panels and their SREC rebates, the homeowners were able to eliminate their utility bills on an annual basis.
Note that street parking is available in the front of this house.
